If it didn’t occur to you that your kid could be bullied just by the name they bear; well I guess you better think again.
Being responsible adults/parents does extend to naming one’s child.
It is always wise to name your offspring not just because of taste, wanting to be unique, following how celebrities name their kids or just out of plain daftness.
Why is this so significant? Simply because names have the greatest leeway, especially in school, upon which kids can bully and get bullied. And yes, name calling is a form of bullying even if it seems very mild. So adding your child to the list of worst baby names ever is not helping your child.
Those who bully will get the impression of a bad, naughty, and mischievous child. While on the other side of the table, the child who is bullied will have future problems such as disliking or even fearing going to school. An outcome which can seriously affect their learning. Even worse the child who is often picked upon can become a bully to other children.
As a parent you wouldn’t want your kid to be bothered, frustrated or even quit school just because they have been awarded a bizarre name by their loving parents?
