The only trouble is they are finding it quite difficult to learn. The teacher they have at the moment isn’t quite up to the task. They think of it more as a way to live abroad. Once you pass your exam you will have a qualification that can be used anywhere in the world. Having the ability to move anywhere you want and pick up a teaching job is pretty special. Save some money
Although it’s very cheap to gain your qualifications you won’t get them for free. It’s going to cost you roughly $1,500. That is for a reputable company and lasts for 4 weeks, including practical elements. You can pick up cheap courses online, but if you go this route you have less chance of gaining a decent job. The 4 week full-time 120hr course is the industry standard.
For living too
Obviously you will need some money to live on for things like accommodation and food. Luckily you will be able to survive quite cheaply in most countries you will be working in. It’s good practice to take around 3 months expenses, just in case it takes you a while to find a job after you have completed your course.
Choose where you’d like to go
Deciding where to take your course is an important step. You want to take the course in the country you will be teaching. It means you are going to know a lot about the country before you start work. You will also have more chance of gaining contacts and finding a job quicker. Places like Japan and Korea cost more to live, but wages are much higher. Thailand and Indonesia are examples of places where it’s very cheap, but wages are lower.

Countries will have different times when the school terms begin. You want to complete your course a before term starts. It’s going to be much easier to find a job. Once you have made all the decisions about where to go and you have the money saved up, the only thing left is to choose which language school you will take the course at.
